Marc's new single featuring the Geroge Porter, Jr. Trio and Joy Clark and fresh mountain mix by Bent River Records founder and Rolling Stones engineer JoeBaby Michaels and the crew at Colorado's Evergroove Studios drops Thurs Jan 16, and then it's off to celebrate at Tipitina's on Jan 24th at Marc Stone's Freaky Friday. MARC'S ALL STAR BLUES CONCERT TO CELEBRATE OPENING OF LOUISIANA BLUES EXHIBIT AT N.O. JAZZ MUSEUM
On October 18, 2024 at a special VIP only concert at the 2024 Funk Fest, Marc curated and led "Bayous, Gris Gris and Mojo - a Journey Through the History of Louisiana Blues" featuring Chris Thomas King, Lilli Lewis, John Mooney, Mem Shannon, Bruce "Sunpie" Barnes, Shawan Rice, and the Marc Stone Band. The concert combined musical and historical presentations celebrating the contributions of Louisiana Blues legends including Slim Harpo, Memphis Minnie, Walter "Wolfman" Washington, Snooks Eaglin, Marva Wright, Lonnie Johnson and was produced in conjunction with the Louisiana Music Experience and former CEO and curators of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
